Long Beach man's body found inside charred trailer in Harrison County

HARRISON COUNTY, MS (WLOX) - Authorities are investigating a body found inside a camper trailer Wednesday morning. Harrison County Coroner Gary Hargrove said the body is that of 58-year-old Al Daroca of Long Beach.

The camper trailer, which was parked at 21174 Daugherty Road just outside Long Beach city limits in Harrison County, caught fire Tuesday afternoon," according to Harrison County Fire Marshal Pat Sullivan.

Hargrove said the flames and the smoke ate right through the camper and its contents. He said nobody at the scene noticed anybody trapped within the charred debris.

The coroner said, Tuesday morning, a fireman got a text from a friend of Daroca. The friend apparently went to the camper and spotted the body.

An autopsy is underway and maybe completed by at least Thursday. That's when investigators will find out how Daroca died.
