BILOXI, MS (WLOX) - Five people were transported to the hospital after their SUV rolled over on I-10 in Biloxi Wednesday morning, according to Biloxi police spokesperson Jackie Rhodes.
Rhodes their were two adults and three children in the SUV. The adults and one of the children were transported to Garden Park Medical Center in Gulfport. Two of children are twins. They were airlifted to a hospital in Mobile, AL, Rhodes said.
Authorities are reconstructing the accident, but right now they believe a tire blew out on the Ford Explorer SUV they were in. That blow out may have caused the driver to lose control hit the wall and rollover on the interstate, Rhodes said.
The accident caused heavy traffic on the westbound lanes of I-10 near the 40 mile marker in Biloxi.
