RANKIN COUNTY, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Twenty-one year old Gregory Tyler Moore has been sentenced to 60 years in prison after pleading guilty to a series of home and auto burglaries that occurred in 2012. The last 10 years of the sentence were suspended.

From January 2012 to December 2012, Moore broke into dozens of vehicles and homes throughout Rankin County.

When Moore became a suspect, deputies found that he had fled to Louisiana to avoid being captured, and was living with his grand parents. They brought him back to Rankin County to meet with investigators, but he fled from the vehicle he was traveling in as it neared the Sheriff's Department.

He was arrested by Rankin County Sheriff's Deputies and Brandon Police after a manhunt.

Moore admitted to the burglaries and told deputies he would take the stolen property to Jackson where he would sell the items or trade them for narcotics.
