Search suspended after possible drowning in Clarksville

CLARKSVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Clarksville police and TWRA officials have suspended their search after a possible drowning Tuesday at Liberty Park.

The Leaf-Chronicle reported that a woman saw someone in the water, waving his or her arms and then going under the water.

Clarksville Fire Rescue, Clarksville Police Department, Montgomery County Fire Rescue and Montgomery County Emergency Medical Services participated in the search efforts.

Authorities have not found anything to indicate a drowning occurred, a police spokesperson said.
