TEMPE, AZ (CBS5/AP) -

A suspect has been arrested in a fatal hit-and-run accident in Tempe last week.

Keenan Williams, 23, is being held on suspicion of leaving the scene of a fatal accident, aggravated assault and two counts of endangerment.

Williams has been booked into Tempe City Jail.

The car Williams allegedly was driving Thursday rear-ended a vehicle in which 60-year-old Ruben Montalbo was a front-seat passenger, said Tempe police Sgt. Michael Pooley.

That started a chain-reaction crash that left Montalbo with serious injuries, Pooley said. He was taken to a hospital and later died.

Police said Williams fled the accident scene and was located Saturday by Tempe police detectives and taken into custody.
