HANCOCK COUNTY, MS (WLOX) - Two Georgia residents were arrested Friday night on I-10 in Hancock for drug possession.
Both face a felony possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver charge, according
to the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
The Mississippi Highway Patrol officials said, the suspects are 19-year-old Ismael Cuevas of 451 Reiser Road of Springfield, GA and 30-year-old Christina Denise Zaner of 2010 Whitaker Street of Savannah, GA.
The two allegedly had five pounds of marijuana seized from the silver, Nissan 350 Z they were traveling in.
MS Highway Patrol Corporal Jason Gazzo said, depending on the grade of marijuana, its street value could be around $400 to $16,000 a pound.
Gazzo said the two suspects were coming from Houston, TX and traveling to an area near Atlanta, GA. They are being held in the Hancock County Detention Center pending their initial appearance.
