HOLMES COUNTY, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

One of two men wanted in a series of shootings is behind bars.

According to Holmes County Sheriff Willie March, 19-year-old Darrodrick Boyd, of Pickens, was arrested Monday in Jackson by U.S. Marshals.

Authorities are still searching for a second suspect -- 26-year-old Andrew Wise of Pickens.

Boyd and Wise are accused of shooting at several houses and vehicles in Pickens, Vaughn and Jackson.

Authorities say the shooting rampage started in Pickens Aug. 11 when the two allegedly shot into two homes and two vehicles, then fired into a crowd at a horse racing event where one man was wounded. They're also accused of shooting four times into a home in Vaughan in Yazoo County and at a residence in Jackson.

"It started out with a family member being shot and it has extended on in this same family," said Pickens Police Chief Joe Davis.

Tameka Smart reportedly had a confrontation with one of the suspects in a store. Later her trailer was shot into numerous times. Smart says she is a cousin of one of the wanted men and she's very angry.

"I don't know what it is," said Smart. "All of this needs to come to a halt."

We were initially contacted about the shootings by Holmes County Sheriff Willie March.

"Even went up the highway shooting up a car," said Sheriff March. "Tore up the car."
