BILOXI, MS (WLOX) -

A Biloxi man has been arrested for the murder of Donald Morris. You may remember, Morris's death was first thought to be the result of an accident. But an autopsy the next day revealed he had been shot to death.

Demetrius Tyrone Sparkman, 30, was arrested August 16. Early in the investigation, police had identified Sparkman as a person of interest in the case. He's now charged with murder.

The shooting happened the night of August 11 in the area of Main and Division streets. Tips from witnesses and citizens in the community provided detectives with valuable information leading to the arrest. 

Sparkman is being held at the Harrison County Adult Detention Center without bond. Investigators said he was recently indicted on felony drug charges.
