CAIRO (RNN) - Over 900 are dead and thousands more injured as clashes between Morsi supporters and Egyptian military forces continued over the weekend.

On Friday night, hundreds of demonstrators set out to defy the government-imposed curfew and protested by spending the night at Ramses Square.

Others sequestered themselves inside Al-Fateh Mosque for the night.

State media reports that the military engaged in battles with armed protestors in other parts of Cairo.

On Saturday, CNN reports that the protestors who spent the night at Al-Fateh Mosque were able to leave without resistance. This came after a 15-hour standoff with Egyptian military forces.

On Sunday, a truck was transferring captured members of the Muslim Brotherhood when prisoners seized the guard in an attempt to break out. Thirty-six prisoners were killed in the struggle.

Morsi supporters promise more demonstrations.

"Our peaceful protests (are) stronger than any weapon, and we don't accept any violence," said Murad Mohamad Ali, media adviser to the Brotherhood's Freedom and Justice Party.

Full-time Waveland city workers, primarily police officers, who take-home vehicles outside of the city limits could see a change to the city's policy soon. City leaders said the current policy is antiquated and needs to be rewritten into something that would benefit both the officers and the taxpayers.
