2 suspects sought in Taco Bell armed robbery

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Jackson police are looking for two suspects who they say robbed a Taco Bell Friday afternoon.

One man has already been arrested in the case. Melvin Mims, 22, has been charged with armed robbery of a business.

Officers responded to the restaurant at 330 Northside Dr., Friday afternoon around 3:20.

Police say three suspects walked into the restaurant and displayed handguns. One suspect walked behind the counter, opened the cash register and took an undisclosed amount of money.

A black male suspect was wearing a purple shirt and black pants. A second black male suspect was wearing a white shirt and black shorts. A third black male suspect was wearing a black shirt with black pants.

All three suspects fled on foot.

As officers canvassed the area, they came in contact with Mims and arrested him.
