Kidnap victim found alive, suspect shoots himself

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

A Cleveland woman kidnapped by her ex-boyfriend on Saturday has been found alive early Monday morning.

Cleveland Police provided an 11:30 a.m. update Monday morning of the circumstances.

Kenya Pierce and her ex Derrick Hudson were found sitting in a car on West 42nd Street and Mapledale. They were in the red Dodge Magnum police have been searching for.

When officers arrived, Hudson shot himself in the head. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Pierce was checked out by paramedics before she was taken to Metro to be evaluated.

Cleveland Police say Pierce was kidnapped Saturday by Hudson, after Hudson allegedly shot his aunt and uncle in their home.  His aunt and uncle survived the gunfire.
