Cleveland police have released a recent picture of kidnapping victim Kenya Pierce, and say there are no new developments in the manhunt for violent kidnapping suspect Derrick Hudson.

Police are searching for 35-year old Hudson and his hostage.

On Saturday morning, Hudson kidnapped his ex-girlfriend, Pierce, 35 after shooting two of his relatives on Cleveland's east side.

According to police, Hudson shot his aunt and uncle at 9:45 a.m. in the 12300 block of Chesterfield Avenue before taking Pierce.

"He had her by the neck with a gun to her head," said eyewitness, Shawn Ammons.

He said Hudson hit a tree while backing out of the victims' driveway.

"When he hit the tree, the passenger side door popped open. The girl fell out and got up and got to running. He threw it in park and went after her with the gun," Ammons said.

Both shooting victims were rushed to Metro Hospital for treatment. Police say Hudson's aunt was treated for a gunshot wound to the leg, and was later released. His uncle, who was shot in the chest, has been upgraded to fair condition.

Cleveland Police held a news conference Saturday evening at CPD's 5th District to share information on the search for Derrick Hudson.

Police consider Hudson to be violent and want to get him of the street before he hurts anyone else.

"We consider this individual to be armed and extremely dangerous," said Cleveland Police Commander Wayne Drummond.

19 Action News has learned Hudson served 10 years in prison for manslaughter. He killed an ex-boyfriend of Pierce. Hudson was just released from prison in December of last year.

Hudson is described as a black man, 5'10" , 185 lbs., with a bald head.

Hudson was last seen operating a red Dodge Magnum license plate FHY 4340 in the area of East 105th and St. Clair. The suspect vehicle may have damage to both sides of the vehicle.

Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of the suspect or the suspect vehicle is asked to contact the Cleveland Division of Police at 216-623-2570. Anonymous information can be given to Crime Stoppers by calling 216.252.7463 or Text messaging: Text TIP657 plus your message to Crimes (274637).
