3 people rescued after flooding in Moss Point

MOSS POINT, MS (WLOX) - Firefighters rescued two elderly people and a care giver from Rose Drive in Moss Point around 1 p.m. on Sunday. Flooding occurred in several streets in Moss Point. Some streets had more than one foot and a half of water.

According to firefighters the three people were rescued because water was piling into their yards and they feared they wouldn't be able to get out of their homes.

Many residents said they are also concerned about the flooding in their yards.

There has not been any reports of water in homes in Moss Point.

No injuries have been reported.
