PASCAGOULA, MS (WLOX) - A line of heavy thunderstorms is soaking much of coastal Mississippi this afternoon. One WLOX viewer says more than five inches of rain fell in a little more than an hour at his home off Courthouse Road in Gulfport.
That rain falling all over South Mississippi. Consequently, water is covering about a dozen streets in Pascagoula and Moss Point. City leaders are urging people to be careful if they have to drive through those areas.
The minor street flooding comes after another night of rain in Jackson County. Forecasters say that area has been drenched by storms for the last couple of weeks.
