Death row inmate asks for seventh trial

WINONA, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

A death row inmate who has had six trials is asking for another one.

Curtis Giovanni Flowers wants the Mississippi Supreme Court to throw out his latest conviction.

Flowers was convicted four times in the 1996 murders of four furniture store workers in Winona. In his fourth and fifth trials, the jury could not reach a verdict.

In 2010, Flowers was convicted a fourth time and sentenced to death.
