BAY ST. LOUIS, MS (WLOX) - Students in the Bay-Waveland School District were featured in a movie on Saturday. It's called "Move To Learn".
The instructional movie will be used in classrooms across the state. The Bower Foundation and the Mississippi Department of Education launched the Initiative in Fall 2012.
It gives Mississippi school children an opportunity for more physical activity in their school day.
The movies feature "Move To Learn" advocates, who lead students in simple exercises that can be done in a small space.
Brad Barlow who works for Bay Waveland schools is excited they are the featured district for this round of movies.
"This is a series of instructional videos that will take students from classroom instructional time beside their desk and give them their needed amount of physical activity--their P.E time that the state mandates," Bay-Waveland Registered Dietician Brad Barlow said.
The videos will be available on YouTube for teachers to use in the classroom.
