WLOX Editorial: Thanks for your loyalty

BILOXI, MS (WLOX) -

As most of you know, July 31st WLOX was removed from the DISH Network Lineup when Raycom Media, who owns WLOX, and DISH corporate did not reach an agreement. Now an agreement is in place.

WLOX was returned to the DISH lineup Friday night. There was inconvenience and plenty of frustration for those of you who could not watch us.

I have talked with quite a number of you and swapped email with others. You told me your concerns not only about missing ABC and CBS shows, but I also heard your passionate concerns about missing WLOX News and Weather.

Our commitment to serve South Mississippi is as strong as ever. On behalf of all the fine men and women working here at WLOX to all of our viewers; thank you for your loyalty.

That's our opinion, we would like to hear yours. Email your thoughts to editorials@wlox.com, or post your comments below.

Dick Empson is standing tall again - all 6 feet, four inches of him. And he’s back to thank Hancock Medical Center staff that got him back on two legs. “I told them that I was not coming back by to visit until I could walk in,” he said. He and his family have been vacationing in Pass Christian for 25 years. Last year, was one that won’t soon be forgotten. That's when he contracted vibrio. He lost his leg and nearly lost his life.
