OCEAN SPRINGS, MS (WLOX) -

Three South Mississippians were arrested over the weekend for possessing and attempting to sell ecstasy at a coast night club. Ocean Springs Police Captain William Jackson tells us the arrests were made during an undercover operation at the Purple Pelican.

Jackson says the night club has been hosting "paint parties" on the weekends. Paint parties usually involve people dressed in all white, who then paint each other during the event.

Jackson said that's what was going on when Emily Hutcherson, Dakota Hunt and Jeffrey Hoerner were arrested Friday night. Investigators said these three had ecstasy and "Molly" in their possession. Molly is the powder or crystal form of MDMA, the chemical used in ecstasy.

Police said Hoerner tried selling the drug to an undercover cop.

They hooked Mississippi's state flag underneath the American flag, and they raised both flags over the city hall grounds. And just like that, five days of debate over whether the state flag should fly in Ocean Springs temporarily came to an end.
