Supervisor Stokes' bus debt satisfied

Posted: Updated:
HINDS COUNTY, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

In February, a bus company threatened to sue Hinds County Supervisor Kenneth Stokes over an unpaid bill stemming from January 2012.

Louisiana Motorcoach had transported students from Louisiana to Jackson to take part in the Martin Luther King parade. The bill was $4,500.

Friday we spoke to the company's president, Louis Sanders. He says that the debt has been taken care of. Sanders says he's obligated to not comment on how the debt was paid or to say anything further.

Sanders did tell us that the company received payment in full about two months ago.
