Identity theft, fraud suspect sought in Ridgeland

RIDGELAND, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Ridgeland police are trying to identify a woman who is suspected of committing identity theft and credit card fraud at Walmart.

Lt. John Neal with the Ridgeland Police Department says the woman bought more than $1,600 in merchandise using a fraudulent name.

The woman was captured on the store's surveillance cameras and it wearing some type of healthcare scrubs.

Neal said the victim is the spouse of a Florida law enforcement officer.

If anyone can identify this individual, they are asked to contact Crime Stoppers or Ridgeland Police Department at 601-856-2121.
