The Outlets of Mississippi in Pearl are expected to be open in time for Christmas shopping.

The grand opening of the Outlets of Mississippi is scheduled for Nov. 14. that's just 10 days away.
It's the first large outlet mall in the Jackson metropolitan area, which will feature major top of the line stores.

"We have about 80 retail tenants here," said Spectrum Capital Vice President Matt Summers. "We have got about 325,000 square feet, and we are the largest in Mississippi. In fact, the largest within about a three and a half hour drive from here."
The mall features a tower that's 100 feet tall.
"The 100-foot tower right above Nike is primarily for signage," said Yates Construction Project Executive Dwain Wood. "There will be signs and logos all up and down the tower for the various tenants."
"We know this is going to bring additional retail development," said Pearl Mayor Brad Rogers. "We know additional restaurants, things of that nature to our city. You know I like to let the developers bring the surprises, but I would just say this, more and bigger and better things are yet to come."
