Harrison Central Red Rebelettes Ready For State Soccer Playoffs

Coach Karl Frederick and his Harrison Central Red Rebelettes are having fun. That's the name of the game. Winning adds to the players positive attitude.. 14-victories in 15 games claiming the Division 8 "5A" title.

Senior Jackie Wright headlines a talented Harrison Central unit. She's bagged 19 goals on the season. Jackie says, "We're doing really this year. We have grown up together so we're use to each other by now. Work as a team really good and know how to work together."

Frederick's says Jackie is one of the best, "She's probably has the best left foot in the state of Mississippi. She always get marked with two players on her every game and its amazing that she's scored 19 goals. She plays hard and tough the whole time."

Jackie's twin-sister... Jenny Wright isn't known for offense... she's a solid defensive player.

Sandra Magee gives the Red Rebelettes another solid scoring threat. Sandra has netted 17 goals. Team play is the name of the game and experience. Sanda says, "We're been playing together since I was seven-years-old. Some of the other girls were eight and playing together for about a decade has helped."

Sophomore Layla Misalatti has tallied 9 goals and 8 assists and how about the play of goalkeeper Elizabeth Isgett. She has 9 shutouts on the year.

Harrison Central has been to the state playoffs before. This year could be the Red Rebelettes best shot at winning the "5A" State Title.
