JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Two Mississippi cities have made the list of the "Top 10 Friendliest Cities in the U.S."

Jackson and Natchez tied for seventh on the list, which is part of Conde Nast Traveler's annual readers' choice survey.

Natchez made the list due to its "hospitable population and slower pace of life," and visitors to Jackson noted that "friendly people and great food" made it a worthy stop, according to the magazine.

Seven of the top 10 friendliest cities on the list are in the south, while five of the top 10 unfriendliest cities are in the northeast.

Brandon, MO topped the list of friendliest cities, and Newark, NJ came in last.

For the full list of the top 10 friendliest and unfriendliest cities in the U.S., check out the Conde Nast Traveler website.
