WLOX Editorial: Attention Dish Network subscribers

Posted: Updated:

Thousands of WLOX viewers could be losing WLOX on Dish Network at midnight Wednesday. If you are a Dish subscriber, you should know our parent company, Raycom Media, has been trying diligently to reach an agreement with Dish for months. Our contract expires at midnight Wednesday and in spite of our best efforts, there is no agreement to keep WLOX in the Dish channel lineup.

Dish subscribers, we value your loyalty and you have options. You can watch WLOX for free, over the air, with an antenna. Or, you could receive WLOX with any other local cable or satellite carrier. WLOX has agreements with all the other carriers. Remember you can also watch WLOX newscasts live streamed right here on wlox.com.

Dish customers you can contact Dish by calling 1-800-823-4929 and let them know that since you are paying for the local stations, you want them to deliver what you pay for. If WLOX is taken out of the Dish channel line up Wednesday night, ask them for a credit or a rebate. We will keep you informed here and on WLOX News.

That's our opinion, we would like to hear yours. Email your thoughts to editorials@wlox.com, or post your comments below.
