Coroner: Body found off Ship Island still unidentified

SHIP ISLAND, MS (WLOX) -

A man's body was found floating in the waters off Ship Island Monday afternoon. Harrison County Coroner Gary Hargrove said the man was spotted and recovered just after noon.

The man wasn't carrying any identification, so authorities are asking for your help figuring out who he is.

Hargrove described the victim as a clean shaved, black man in his 30s. He's between 5' 8"  and 5' 10" tall. He was wearing black shorts, a black and grey long sleeved shirt, and ankle high brown hiking boots.

If you have any information that could help authorities identify the man, call the Harrison County Coroner's Office at (228) 865-7060.

Hargrove said he expects the autopsy to be performed sometime Tuesday.
