Three Springfield men were arrested in connection to a string of "roofing shingle" robberies.
According to Springfield police, Gabriel Acosta, Ruben Santiago and Alexis Figueroro all of 18 Merrick Avenue were caught by police breaking into the ABC Supply Company and loading the shingles into a U-Haul.
Police said officers searched the truck and found 43 packages of roofing shingles. Police said they also found more of the shingles waiting to be loaded onto the truck.
According to officials Acosta, Santiago and Figueroro are being investigated for similar breaking and entering incidents that have occurred around Western Massachusetts.
The suspects will be arraigned in Springfield District Court.
