Flowood authorities are on the scene where a truck is submerged in the Pearl River near Lakeland Drive.
According to Flowood Fire Department Public Information Officer Lt. Brian Grantham, a group was swimming on the Rankin County side of the Pearl River and decided to take their Ford F-150 across a canal that was about 2 to 3 feet deep.
Grantham said the group was able to cross the canal, but the ground gave way once they got to the other side. The truck was almost completely submerged. No one was injured.
They are now waiting for someone to pull the truck out of the river.
The Flowood Police and Flowood Fire departments responded to the scene.
