Duo sought for using $1,400 in fake cash

The Forest Walmart fell victim to more than $1,400 in fake money.

Chief Will Jones says the pair bought an electronic item with counterfeit $20 bills at the Walmart in Newton.

He said the two men then brought the item to the Forest Walmart and returned it for $1,400 in real money. The duo then went to the electronics department and bought $1,480 worth of other items.

Jones says there have been several instances of fake cash being used at local businesses recently.
