D'IBERVILLE, MS (WLOX) -

D'Iberville police need your help identifying a man and woman suspected of taking a man's wallet at the Whataburger on Sangani Boulevard.

The theft took place on June 7. But after weeks without an arrest, investigators are hoping the public may be able to give them a new lead.

The owner of the wallet said he mistakenly left it on the restaurant's counter after placing his order. Unfortunately, it contained a large amount of cash.

Police said the restaurant's surveillance video shows the couple taking the wallet from the counter. The man puts it into his front right pocket, and they leave without placing an order.

If you have any information that could help in the investigation, you're asked to call the D'Iberville Police Department at (228) 396-4252 or Crime Stoppers at (877) 787-5898.
