Showers linger Saturday with sunshine ahead

The showers that developed Friday night will last through much of Saturday with some thunderstorms possible.

Some areas of central Mississippi that receive the heavier downpours may see upwards of one inch of rain. Track the storms on the Interactive Radar.

Rain will taper off Saturday afternoon and lead to fog overnight Saturday into Sunday.

Sunday looks to be the better day of the weekend as far as sunshine is concerned. The clouds and showers will keep temperatures in the 80s for much of Saturday, but into the lower 90s Sunday.
