BOSTON (WSHM) -

Boston police are investigating the death of a woman, whose body was found in Hyde Park, Tuesday afternoon.

Police say the body of the woman, identified as 24-year-old Amy Lord of Wilbraham, was found at the Stony Brook Reservation by a person walking through.

According to police in Boston, Lord was kidnapped near her apartment in South Boston Tuesday morning around 6 a.m. and driven to at least five ATM machines to withdrawal cash. She was then stabbed several times.

Her Jeep was later returned to South Boston and set on fire.

Police released surveillance pictures of Lord from an ATM machine and were asking the public to call them if they saw her on Tuesday.

Lord graduated from Minnechaug Regional High School in 2007.

Hampden-Wilbraham Superintendent of Schools, Martin O'Shea, released the following statement Wednesday:

"The Hampden-Wilbraham Regional School Community is saddened by the tragic death of Amy Lord, a 2007 Minnechaug Regional High School graduate. An active member of the Minnechaug community, Amy was an honors student and a varsity cheerleader. Our deepest condolences are extended to Amy's family and her friends during this very difficult time."

A vigil was scheduled for 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Gazebo Park on Main St. in Wilbraham.
