Springfield College hosts Athletic Training Student Workshop

SPRINGFIELD, MA (WSHM) -

Springfield College has begun hosting the 20th annual Athletic Training Student Workshop, which started on July 14 and will end on July 18.

The workshop targets high school students that are interested in careers related to athletic training and sports medicine.

The workshops, which are attended by high school students from across the country, will include lectures that will focus on anatomy, injury prevention and how to care for minor athletic injuries. 

The students will also be given hands-on experience through demonstrations and practice sessions on athletic injury prevention and maintenance.

Presentations on career options will also be offered as part of the curriculum.
