An Onalaska man is dead after crashing van into a tree

ONALASKA, TX (KTRE) -

According to DPS, an Onalaska man is dead after a Sunday morning single vehicle accident.

The accident report says Robert Lee Shurley, 51, of Onalaska was driving a 2007 Ford van, northbound on State Highway 90 in Grimes County when his vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree.

Shurley was pronounced dead around 9:00 AM Sunday morning at the scene by Judge Joe Imhoff.

DPS says Shurley was wearing his seatbelt.

His body was taken to Nobel's Funeral Home in Navasota. His next of kin has been notified.
