HANCOCK COUNTY, MS (WLOX) - A Harrison County Community Work Center (CWC) inmate who reportedly escaped Wednesday was captured Sunday, according to the Mississippi Department of Corrections (MDOC).
Robert Lumpkin was reportedly found walking down a street in the Kiln.
MDOC officials said authorities received a call from a concerned citizen. That call led authorities to Lumpkin. He was arrested without incident.
According MDOC, Lumpkin reported walked off the county workshop on Lorraine Road in Gulfport.
Lumpkin is serving a 12.5-year sentence for a conviction of Burglary from Pearl River County. He will be transported to Central Mississippi Correctional Facility and may receive an additional five year sentence if convicted of escape.
