GULFPORT, MS - Confidence is high in South Mississippi's economy. That according to the Gulf Coast Business Council Research Foundation quarterly CEO and Business Owners Confidence Report for the second quarter of 2013.
"Our CEO's and business owners have not expressed this level of confidence in the local economy since the first quarter of 2011," said Gulf Coast Business Council President Jack Norris.
The report points to improvements in industry, a growing tax base and plans to hire additional staff.
The confidence survey took place June 17 – June 28, 2013. The survey included 81 members of the Chambers of Commerce across all three Gulf Coast Counties.
