Mississippi Gulf Coast Bulldogs: Preseason #1

PERKINSTON, MS (WLOX) -

The Mississippi Gulf Coast Bulldogs are ranked number one in the jcgridiron.com preseason Dirty 30 rankings.

Head coach Steve Campbell said, "The voters recognize that we have a chance to have a great season.  It also puts a huge target on your, which gives us extra motivation to work hard during summer workouts."

The Bulldogs open fall practice during the first week of August in preparation for the 2013 season opener hosting Coahoma August 29th in Perkinston.

Campbell stated,"Each year is a new year and it's exciting to know we've got a lot of players back from a very good team a year ago.  It all starts with putting in the work and the effort."

The 2012 Gulf Coast Bulldogs ran off 9 wins and 2 losses, won a sixth straight MACJC South Division title, before falling to Co-Lin 41-37 in the state title game.  The Bulldogs were ranked number 6 in the final NJCAA poll.
