JACKSON COUNTY, MS (WLOX) - It wasn't a typically Monday morning meeting for the Jackson County Board of Supervisors. A scuffle broke out in the meeting between two neighbors from Jackson County's Harleston Community. The two men involved--Charles Stauter and Walter Williams.
Williams attended Monday's meeting to request his son live in a travel trail on his property. But,
Williams' neighbor Stauter was at the meeting to oppose that request.
Ultimately the board of supervisors denied Williams' request.
According to the Jackson County Sheriff's Department, Stauter said, Williams uttered
profanity toward him. That's when Stauter allegedly grabbed Williams, according to the sheriff's department.
Stauter was charged with misdemeanor disorderly conduct. He was arrested and released on a $100 bail.
