DMR: Drowning victim found south of Horn Island

PASCAGOULA, MS (WLOX) - Someone drowned in the waters three miles south of Horn Island Thursday, but few other details are know about the victim or the circumstances of the death.

At 9:30pm, officials with the Department of Marine Resources told WLOX News the victim's body was being brought into Bayou Casotte in Pascagoula by a fishing vessel that's being escorted by DMR Marine Patrol. Waiting on shore are Jackson County Coroner Vicki Broadus and an Acadian Ambulance Unit.
