STATEMENT: Plaintiff in Paula Deen discrimination lawsuit

This lawsuit has never been about the "n" word.  It is to address Ms. Deen's  patterns of disrespect and degradation of people that she deems to be inferior.  I am a white woman, but I could no longer tolerate her abuse of power as a business owner, nor her condonation of Mr. Hiers' despicable day-to-day behavior.  I am what I am, and I am a human being that cares about discrimination in the workplace.  In part, in this circumstance, I have to be a voice for those who are too afraid to use theirs.

The Pascagoula Panthers open the 2017 football season on the road. In fact, their first three games are road contests. That scheduling quirk may give field turf crews just enough time to get War Memorial Stadium ready for the September 8 home opener. The wet weather in South Mississippi is placing quite the burden on construction workers as they attempt to complete stadium renovations. The project was suppose to be finished before the beginning of Pascagoula's football season.
