New Pass leaders hold first meeting Tuesday

PASS CHRISTIAN, MS (WLOX) - Four newly elected officials took their oath of office in Pass Christian Monday, including aldermen from wards one, two, and four, along with the alderman at large. The alderman from Ward three and the mayor were both re-elected.

Mayor Leo "Chipper" McDermott says he's excited to get started with this new term and working with these newly elected aldermen.

"This board looks good. They look good and we'll find out tomorrow when we have our first meeting, so it'll move quickly and they'll learn quickly and we'll keep on going," said Mayor Chipper McDermott.

This is McDermott's second full term after completing a portion of a term shortly after Hurricane Katrina.
