JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Jackson Police have identified the victim in Monday night's drive-by shooting and continue searching for the suspect they believe fired the fatal shots.

According to Jackson Police Department Spokesperson Officer Colendula Green, the victim is 20-year-old Sepedah Vance.

Officer Green says Vance was shot two times in the back while inside a vehicle at 47 Meadowlane Drive, just off of Northside Drive, around 7:30 p.m.

Green confirms Vance was found inside a vehicle that was in a ditch. The victim's car was riddled with bullet holes and investigators say multiple shell casings were scattered on the ground near the car.

Police add the shell casings were different calibers.

Although a suspect description is not available, police say the suspected shooter was driving a dark colored Honda or Acura.
