WARREN COUNTY, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Entergy crews have  been working for nearly 48 hours to restore power for the 13,000 customers impacted by Friday's storm.

The utility company says 36 poles were broken when the line of thunderstorms rolled through the Vicksburg area. It takes about three hours to replace those utility poles and slows down the progress, according to Entergy.

Crews from Arkansas were brought in to assist in the effort.

The National Weather Service says winds up to 70 miles per hour were possible in the storms, but no wind estimates have been confirmed.

At last check about 1,200 customers remained without power.

Two hundred of the customers without power are in Clinton, where power is expected to be restored tonight.
