Severe storms moved through central Mississippi Friday night and caused power outages and widespread damage.

Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace reports Interstate 20 eastbound is shutdown between Bovina and Vicksburg due to a large amount of debris in the roadway.

Law enforcement is reporting widespread wind damage in the Vicksburg area. There are reports of numerous trees and powerlines down on roads.

Entergy reports more than 17,000 customers were without power around 10:30 p.m. Friday.
