CLARKSVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

A man suspected of using victims' credit cards after burglarizing homes in a Clarksville neighborhood and a vehicle at a nearby YMCA has been arrested.

Joshua Atwood is accused in a series of break-ins at Uffelman Estates and a car parked outside the YMCA on Hillcrest Drive.

Officers spotted Atwood on Thursday near Memorial Drive, where he was allegedly still in possession of a child's backpack stolen from the vehicle at YMCA and other property from the home burglaries.

Atwood is charged with vehicle burglary, aggravated burglary and six counts of identity theft after he allegedly shopped with the victims' credit cards.

Clarksville police said Atwood has been booked into the Montgomery County Jail six times in the last 13 months.
