JACKSON COUNTY, MS (WLOX) - Two D'Iberville men were arrested Friday in connection with the theft of a 1996 Dodge Intrepid.
According to Jackson County Sheriff Mike Byrd, 24-year-old Aaron James Reeves of 14318 Highway 15 and 29-year-old Vernon Charles Powell, Jr. of 13168 Lamey Bridge Road both of D'Iberville face charges of receiving stolen property.
Byrd said that stolen Intrepid was taken from a D'Iberville storage lot and disposed of at a Jackson County scrap yard.
Both suspects are on parole through the Mississippi Department of Correction for charges involving theft. They are being held at the Jackson County Adult Detention Center pending an initial appearance in Jackson County and a probation revocation hearing in Jackson County Circuit Court, Byrd said.
In convicted of receiving stolen property, the suspects could face up to 10 years in prison and $10,000 in fines.
