Ingredients for Chicken Shawarma

  • 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts (thinly cut)
  • 1/4 cup vinegar
  • 1/2 olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon 
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon coriander 
  • 1/2 teaspoon caraway
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon of harissa

FOR THE SAUCE:

  • 1/2 cup tahini
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1 cup mayonnaise

PITA FILLINGS:

  • Pita bread  4 large
  • thinly sliced onions
  • thinly sliced tomatoes
  • shredded romaine salad
