Liquor store arson arrest

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

City of Jackson arson investigators have made an arrest in a liquor store fire earlier this month. Willie Russell is charged with three counts of arson. The 63 year-old is in custody at the Hinds County Detention Center.

Two of the counts Russell is charged with are related to the June 1st fire that destroyed the McDowell Package Wholesale Liquor store. The fire ruined all of the store's merchandise. Store employees said someone spray painted surveillance cameras prior to the fire.

Russell is also charged with arson in a December 2012 fire on Bailey Avenue.
