MOSS POINT, MS (WLOX) - One person is in critical condition and another behind bars after a shooting in Moss Point.
According to Police Chief Keith Davis, a man from Pascagoula was shot twice in the upper torso area around 9:30 Monday night. Investigators say it happened on Church Street near the Hall Street intersection in a car.
A male suspect in his early 20s, also from Pascagoula, has been arrested.
Davis credits the tremendous work from his patrol and investigative division for making an arrest so quickly. An initial investigation reveals drugs were involved.
"We want to send a message to the drug dealing thugs we are not going to tolerate this in our city," Chief Davis said.
The suspect is expected to make an initial court appearance Tuesday.
