Two arrested in Adams County on drug charges

ADAMS COUNTY, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Adams County Sheriff's Deputies were serving a search warrant Monday, when they found a cache of drugs, money and paraphernalia.

Deputies and Metro Narcotics agents were serving the search warrant as part of an ongoing drug investigation. When they arrived at 7 Mazique Lane, in Natchez, they found high grade marijuana, Methamphetamine, and promethazine with codeine, which is know as syrup on the street.

A search of the house turned up seven rifles, two hand guns, digital weighing scales, surveillance equipment and $19,350 in cash.

Renard Allen Wimley and Keisha Lashae Johnson have been arrested. Both are charged with:

  • Possession of schedule 1 controlled substance with intent to distribute while in possession of a firearm
  • Possession of schedule 2 controlled substance (methamphetamine)
  • Possession of schedule 5 controlled substance (promethazine with codeine)
