OREGON, OH (Toledo News Now) -

It's not every day you get a call about a horse and a donkey on the loose, evading capture. But it happened today in Oregon.

The Oregon Police Department responded to an unusual call this morning. A local woman called the police department after her one horse and donkey escaped from their home.

The officers were able to stop the adventurous duo right before they ran onto Corduroy Road by Lallendorf Road.  Police on scene said they were glad to catch them when they did - because that stretch of road can be pretty treacherous.

The Oregon Police Dept. then posted the pictures to their Facebook page, saying, "Nothing says news should always be bad and there is nothing wrong with having a sense of humor."

Both animals were returned safety to their owner.
